Al Mada, Attijariwafa Bank, Ministery & inwi unite to revolutionize arts education

In an inspiring initiative to make arts education more accessible and foster cultural enrichment, the Al Mada Foundation has joined forces with Attijariwafa Bank, inwi, and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports. This partnership is reshaping how Moroccan youth engage with art, offering unprecedented opportunities for creative growth in public schools.

Building on the success of the Academy of Arts, launched in 2009 by the Attijariwafa Bank Foundation in Casablanca, this new collaboration aims to expand its impact across Morocco. Since its inception, the program has supported nearly 2,000 students in visual arts and multimedia, setting a standard for artistic excellence.

Now, with a shared commitment to broadening access to the arts, the partners are extending this innovative model to other regions, ensuring more young people benefit from a modern, creativity-driven education.

The program officially launched during the 2024/2025 school year, introducing pilot classes at two key locations:

  • The Villa des Arts in Rabat, known for championing the promotion of arts and culture.
  • The Center for Artistic Development in Tangier, part of the Regional Academy of Education and Training.

These newly reimagined spaces welcome 300 students aged 15 to 21, offering an innovative educational approach guided by experienced professionals.

Designed by the Al Mada Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, the program focuses on project-based learning. It integrates cutting-edge disciplines such as digital arts, ensuring students acquire hands-on experience with modern creative tools.

Beyond the classroom, students will participate in cultural outings and immersive masterclasses, gaining a well-rounded introduction to the artistic world. This approach not only nurtures their creative talents but also equips them with skills for future careers in the arts sector.

By rolling out the Academy of Arts regionally, this initiative represents a major step in fostering creativity, innovation, and a love for the arts among Moroccan youth. It reflects a broader mission: to create pathways for young people to thrive in an evolving cultural landscape.

The Al Mada Foundation, alongside its partners Attijariwafa Bank, inwi, and the Ministry of Education, sees this initiative as a vital investment in the future. Together, they are opening doors to creativity and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to explore their artistic potential.
