Morocco forward Amine Adli says playing at the FIFA World Cup is still a “big dream”, while he also hopes to help Bournemouth qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

In an interview with RMC, the 24-year-old said he is eagerly waiting for Morocco’s World Cup squad announcement.

“Any player dreams of playing in this global competition, especially with the status the Atlas Lions now have after the historic achievement in Qatar.”

He said the Morocco national football team has earned strong international respect in recent years and believes the current squad can deliver a strong tournament despite tough competition.

Adli also spoke about Bournemouth’s season in the Premier League, where the club is close to securing European football for the first time in its history with two games left.

“The Champions League dream is now on the mind of everyone at the club.”

The former Bayer Leverkusen attacker said the team’s positive results in 2026 have come from collective work and the attacking style of Spanish coach Andoni Iraola.

“Bournemouth have a fighting group that is not afraid to face the Premier League’s biggest teams.”

Adli admitted his start in England was difficult after returning from a serious injury last season, but said his performances improved during the second half of the campaign as he adapted to the pace of the league.

He added he feels most comfortable playing centrally behind the striker rather than as a traditional winger, as it allows him to move freely and contribute more to creating chances.
