Attijariwafa bank is stepping up its digital game with a new strategic alliance designed to reshape how bills are managed and paid. On July 16 in Casablanca, the bank signed a partnership with Jordan-based fintech company MadfoatCom, a regional leader in electronic payment solutions. The goal: to jointly roll out advanced digital services that streamline transactions for both individuals and businesses.

This collaboration aims to deliver smarter, safer, and more efficient tools that will accelerate the digital transformation of the financial sector—not just in Morocco, but across all countries where the Attijariwafa bank group operates. At the heart of the initiative is a shared ambition to modernize payment platforms and make them more user-focused, intuitive, and inclusive.

The partnership will center on designing digital solutions that reduce complexity, promote the use of online channels, and better meet the evolving needs of today’s users. Ultimately, both firms hope this approach will also help close the financial inclusion gap in underserved markets.

For MadfoatCom, the deal represents a major milestone in its efforts to expand across the MENA region. “Together, we aim to provide scalable and forward-thinking services that truly align with what customers expect,” said CEO Barakat Ali Al-Shanableh, underlining the company’s regional ambitions.

Attijariwafa bank, headquartered in Morocco, currently operates in 27 countries and employs over 21,000 people, serving a customer base of 12 million. MadfoatCom, for its part, has processed over $100 billion in payments across the Middle East and North Africa since its founding, establishing itself as a key player in the region’s fintech ecosystem.
