Attijariwafa Bank has teamed up with Nuitée to add a hotel booking service to its Attijari Mobile app. The bank is expanding its app beyond basic banking services.
Customers can now browse and book from more than 2.8 million properties worldwide. The app shows live availability and special rates. Users can search for destinations, pick a hotel and pay directly from their bank account inside the app.
The bank says the move is part of its plan to offer more daily services, including travel and mobility, in one place. The aim is to make the app useful for both money management and personal planning.
For Nuitée, this is its first deal with a banking group in Africa. The company provides the technology behind the service, including white-label integration, live price updates, mapping tools and access to a global hotel inventory.
