Boeing has signed a memorandum of understanding with Alphavest Capital to establish a network of aerospace centers of excellence in Morocco—a move designed to solidify the country’s growing role in the global aviation supply chain. The agreement lays the groundwork for five specialized hubs, each focused on a critical area of aerospace manufacturing and engineering.

The planned centers will cover a wide range of expertise: one dedicated to engineering services, another to piping and connector systems, a third to complex mechanical components and metalwork, a fourth to secondary structures including composites, and a final center focused on raw material processing and distribution. Together, they aim to build a robust ecosystem that supports both Boeing’s needs and Morocco’s ambitions in advanced manufacturing.

Majid Benmlih, president of Alphavest Capital, described the agreement as the culmination of years of collaboration with Boeing, particularly through the joint venture TDM Aerospace. He emphasized that the deal highlights Morocco’s rising profile as a high-performance industrial platform—one that offers not only competitive costs but also reliability and strong technical standards.

On Boeing’s side, Ihssane Mounir, who oversees the company’s global supply chain, praised the initiative as a meaningful step toward deepening local manufacturing capabilities and developing a skilled workforce. He noted the strong alignment between this effort and Morocco’s national strategy to make aerospace a flagship sector of its economy.

Alphavest Capital is backing the initiative through two targeted investment funds. The first focuses on expanding Morocco’s aerospace infrastructure and capabilities, while the second supports high-potential tech startups with an eye toward accelerating digital transformation across industries. Together, these funds reflect a broader vision: blending industrial development with innovation to position Morocco at the forefront of the global aerospace landscape.
