AS FAR take on Pyramids FC in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals in a big North African game.

Kick-off is at 10:00 PM local time (22:00 GMT) at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

If you’re watching from home, the game will be broadcast on beIN Sports across the region. In Morocco, fans can also watch it on the Arryadia TNT channel.

Team news

AS FAR: The home side will be without a few key players. Captain and midfield leader Mohamed Rabie Hrimat is suspended for this match. First-choice goalkeeper Ayoub El Khayati is also out with a knee injury.

Defenders Tawfik Razko and Nolan Mbemba are unavailable as well.

There is some good news though. Reda Tagnaouti and striker Mohcine Bouriga are back available and could feature tonight.

Pyramids FC: The Egyptian side arrive with most of their squad fit, but they also have some absences. Ramadan Sobhi is suspended and will miss the game.

Midfielder Walid El Karti and defender Mohamed Hamdi are both out with injuries.

However, their main attacking threat Fiston Mayele is available. The striker has been in great form recently, so the AS FAR defence will need to keep a close eye on him.

What the coaches are saying

Alexandre Santos (AS FAR)
Santos says his team will stick to their style of play. He admits Pyramids have a strong squad, but believes his players are ready to fight. With the match being played behind closed doors, he says the team will have to create its own motivation without the usual support from fans.

Krunoslav Jurčić (Pyramids FC)
Jurčić says his team is not coming to Rabat just to defend. He described AS FAR as a tough and well-organised opponent, but made it clear his players want a win. Getting a good result away from home would make the second leg in Cairo much easier.
