Casablanca attracts Cegid as 240 jobs created in new AI and cloud centre

Casablanca has added another tech company to its growing list after Cegid, a European cloud and AI software firm, opened a new centre in the city.

The company has launched Cegid Atlas in Casablanca Finance City, inside the Cross Tower on the 12th and 13th floors. It is part of Cegid’s international expansion.

The centre starts with 240 employees, all hired since June 2025. It will handle cloud services, software integration, research and development, customer support, and internal functions such as finance, HR and IT.

Bruno Vaffier, CEO of Cegid, said Casablanca is a strategic base for the company’s international operations. He described the centre as a “sustainable, structural new chapter”.

The opening reflects Morocco’s push to attract more global tech firms. Casablanca Finance City continues to position itself as a hub for engineering and digital services.

Said Ibrahimi, CEO of the Casablanca Finance City Authority, said the project shows the city can attract international companies in high-skilled services. He said it also reflects the strength of Moroccan talent in engineering and programming.

Cegid said local hiring is central to its plan. The 240 recruits show confidence in the local workforce for advanced tech roles.

Tam Kaghat, President of Cegid Atlas, said Morocco has skilled and committed talent for demanding tech work. She said the local team is already important for the group.

Founded in Lyon in 1983, Cegid operates in 130 countries and serves more than one million clients. The company runs on a software-as-a-service model and recorded revenue of 1.069 billion euros in 2025.

The expansion is part of Cegid’s Forward.ai strategy, focused on artificial intelligence. The Casablanca centre will also support operations in Iberia, Latin America and Africa.
