A new 500 million dirham logistics and industrial project is set to be built in Ouled Saleh, south of Casablanca. The government has approved the creation of a company that will develop and manage the project. The company will be called Société Marocaine des Installations Logistiques de la Région de Casablanca-Settat.

The project will provide space for logistics companies and other related businesses. It will include land development, construction and the operation and management of facilities.

The company will have 500 million dirhams in capital. The Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development will provide 80% of this amount, while the Casablanca-Settat region will provide the other 20%.

The full project is expected to cost about 550 million dirhams. The agency will provide 400 million dirhams and the region 150 million dirhams, including a 50 million dirham subsidy.

The project is expected to generate about 800 million dirhams in revenue between 2025 and 2049. The business plan forecasts 55 million dirhams in profit over the same period, with an internal rate of return of 7.2%.

The plan was first agreed through a partnership signed in July 2024. The partners include national and regional authorities, the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises.

The agency’s board approved the creation of the company in July 2025. The Casablanca-Settat regional council approved its financial contribution in October 2025.

The government approval comes as demand for industrial and logistics space continues to grow in the Casablanca-Settat region.

The new platform is expected to attract investment and create jobs while providing more logistics and industrial space in the region.
