Dbeibah : Libyan People Ask for more Support from Morocco to Get Out of Crisis

The head of the National Unity Government in Libya, Abdelhamid Dbeibah, said Monday in Rabat that the Libyan people are asking Morocco for more support and collaboration to get out of the crisis and ensure the stability of the country.

“We ask for more support and collaboration from our Moroccan brothers to resolve the crisis and get out of the difficult years that Libya has gone through,” Dbeibah told reporters at the end of talks with Speaker of the House of Advisors, Abdelhakim Benchamach.

He reiterated the gratitude of the Libyan people to HM King Mohammed VI for his important positions and for the Kingdom’s unwavering support and his efforts to unify Libyan institutions, while calling for strengthening bilateral cooperation, in particular through the abolition of visa requirements between the two countries and the opening of a direct airline to facilitate travel between the two countries.

For his part, Benchamach reiterated Morocco’s readiness to provide the necessary support to the Libyan people and to share with them their experience in all areas, as well as to develop cooperation in areas of common interest.

He expressed confidence that the Libyans will find solutions to the problems hampering reconciliation between the different components of the Libyan people.
