German leisure carrier Discover Airlines will start direct flights to Agadir and Fez in winter 2026/27, expanding its Morocco network to three cities with up to 16 flights a week.
The new routes will begin in late October and run until late March 2027. Flights from Frankfurt to Agadir will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. A weekly Sunday flight will link Munich with Fez. Each flight takes about four hours, leaving Germany in the morning and arriving in Morocco around midday. Return flights land in Germany in the evening.
The Munich–Fez route will be the only direct flight between the Bavarian capital and the historic Moroccan city.
The expansion follows an agreement signed last week at ITB Berlin between Discover Airlines and the Moroccan National Tourism Office. The deal aims to strengthen tourism links between Germany and Morocco.
Discover Airlines has flown between Germany and Marrakech since 2022. Those flights from Frankfurt and Munich will increase to up to 13 a week next winter, alongside the two new routes.
Agadir is one of Morocco’s most popular beach destinations. The Atlantic city enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine each year and has a beach that stretches for nearly 10 kilometres. Nearby Taghazout is well known among surfers from across Europe. Visitors can also try activities such as kitesurfing, windsurfing and deep-sea fishing. The area is also close to Souss-Massa National Park and the Anti-Atlas Mountains.
Fez is famous for its historic medina, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The old city has more than 9,000 narrow streets and is home to the University of Al Quaraouiyine, often described as one of the oldest universities still operating in the world. Its markets, leather tanneries and historic buildings attract visitors from around the world.
Discover Airlines is part of the Lufthansa Group and operates from Frankfurt and Munich. The airline currently has 30 aircraft and plans to expand its fleet to 40 by 2028, including the Airbus A350. It will also refurbish the cabins of its Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft starting in 2027.
In December 2025, the airline received a four-star leisure airline rating from Skytrax.
