Electric sports car Cyberster arrives in Morocco starting at 680,000 dirhams

MG Cyberster

If you have more than 680,000 dirhams to spare, you can now buy a fully electric sports car in Morocco. MG Motor has launched the Cyberster in Casablanca. It is a two-seater electric roadster and marks the brand’s move into the high-end market.

The car is available to order across the country starting today.

The Cyberster comes with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. It produces 510 horsepower and 725 Nm of torque. MG says it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.

The battery is 77 kWh and offers a range of up to 443 km under WLTP standards. With fast charging at 144 kW, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in 38 minutes.

Classic look, modern features

The design is inspired by the classic MG B roadster. It has a long bonnet and a low shape, with a soft top roof. The doors open upwards and the rear lights have a distinctive LED design.

Inside, the car is built around the driver. It includes three digital screens. There is a 10.25-inch instrument display and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also comes with a Bose sound system with eight speakers.

MG entered Morocco in 2023 through a deal with Jameel Motors. The Cyberster is now its flagship model in the country.

The brand sells a wide range of cars in Morocco. These include the MG3 and MG5, as well as SUVs like the MG ZS and MG HS. It also offers electric models such as the Marvel R.

MG started with five showrooms in Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier. It has since expanded to other cities including Nador, El Jadida, Safi and Kénitra.

The company is focusing on competitive pricing and offers a six-year or 200,000 km warranty.
