The French Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, is scheduled for an official visit to Morocco from July 3 to 5.
According to the French daily La Tribune, this visit will mark “a new step in the process of warming relations between Paris and Rabat after two years of significant diplomatic chill.”
La Tribune emphasizes that this trip by Gabriel Attal, accompanied by several ministers, inaugurates a new phase of reconciliation. It will also be his first major handling of an international dossier.
The visit is part of a series of trips by members of the Attal government to Morocco, including Gérald Darmanin, Marc Fesneau, Stéphane Séjourné, and Franck Riester, reflecting a strengthening of bilateral ties.
Additionally, Éric Dupond-Moretti, the French Minister of Justice, is expected in Rabat on May 23 for a working visit focused on judicial cooperation between the two countries, thus prefiguring a renewal of Franco-Moroccan exchanges.
Gabriel Attal’s visit comes at a time when the Olympic Games are also on the horizon, highlighting the importance of international relations in the sports field and beyond.
