A leading university hospital in Nice has signed a new partnership with a university hospital CHU in Rabat to strengthen cooperation in training, research and hospital management.
The agreement was signed between the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nice and the Hôpital Universitaire International de Rabat.
The CHU de Nice hosted a delegation from the Rabat hospital and from the medical faculty of the Université Internationale de Rabat for two days of talks.
Discussions covered how hospitals are structured and managed, with a focus on governance and emergency services. Teams also shared experience on digital systems used in patient admissions, quality of care procedures and improving the patient experience.
Sustainability and the social responsibility of health institutions were also discussed.
At the end of the meetings, a framework agreement was signed by Rodolphe Bourret, director general of the CHU de Nice, and Mohamed Abdellaoui Andaloussi Maane, president of the executive board of the Rabat hospital.
The partnership aims to develop joint work in medical education, research and hospital organisation. It also seeks to encourage exchanges between doctors, lecturers and researchers.
Both institutions said the deal reflects a shared interest in strengthening international cooperation and sharing expertise to improve hospital practice.
The agreement comes during a period of health sector reform in Morocco, where authorities are expanding mandatory health insurance and upgrading hospital facilities.
The partnership also fits into long-standing medical ties between Morocco and France. It highlights cooperation in areas such as digital health, paperless records and modern hospital management.
Both sides said the deal could lead to new academic and scientific projects and support further collaboration between the two countries.
