Morocco is gearing up to host the 4th edition of GITEX Africa Morocco, Africa’s largest tech and startup event, from April 7-9. The gathering will bring together more than 1,450 companies and startups from over 130 countries.
This year, new delegations are joining from Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Guinea, Hungary, Luxembourg, Thailand, and Zambia.
At a press conference, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, minister delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, said: “For us, GITEX is a major opportunity to develop digitalisation and artificial intelligence in Morocco, to support startups, and to put on display the capabilities of our youth to the world.”

Richard Brook, Vice President of GITEX Africa, called the event a “super connector for digital transformation.” He said: “We’re bringing over 1,450 exhibiting companies to Marrakech, alongside 400 investors from more than 40 countries, to explore Moroccan startups and discover the next innovations shaping trade, government, and society.”
After a record year in 2025, when African startups raised US$3.9 billion (MAD 40 billion), GITEX Africa will call to attention the next wave of fast-growing startups through “North Star Africa,” the continent’s biggest startup showcase. Over 800 startups will get support through mentoring, training workshops, talent programs, and opportunities to pitch to investors.
More than 400 investors from 40+ countries, managing $350 billion (MAD 3.5 trillion) in assets, will attend. A special program will also promote Morocco’s top innovators.
The “Morocco 300” initiative, run with the Digital Development Agency and the Ministry of Digital Transition, has grown by 50% since last year, giving Moroccan startups a platform to show off their solutions, meet investors, and connect with global tech leaders.
