This clarification addresses concerns following a directive issued on August 31, 2024, to all regional directors and provincial and communal supervisors regarding interactions with the media during household interviews.
To prevent any misinterpretation of the directive, the HCP has decided to make the instruction public. The full text of the directive is as follows:
“Madame la Directrice Régionale, Messieurs les Directeurs Régionaux;
Please remind provincial and communal supervisors, as well as all individuals involved in the RGPH 2024, that it is strictly prohibited to allow media representatives, including those responsible for media events, to attend, cover, or film interviews with households. It is absolutely essential to ensure the protection of household privacy and the safeguarding of their personal data.”
This directive underscores the importance of respecting household privacy and protecting personal data during the execution of the RGPH 2024. The HCP is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the information collected during the census.
