Immorente bets big on industry with 180 million dirham expansion

Immorente is accelerating its industrial growth strategy with two major investments totaling 180 million dirhams, further solidifying its position as a key player in Morocco’s industrial sector. Both projects are strategically located in the Atlantic Free Zone in Kenitra, an industrial hub attracting significant local and international businesses.

The first project involves expanding a factory leased to Faurecia, a global leader in automotive equipment manufacturing. This extension spans 10,000 square meters and was delivered in Q3 2024, requiring an investment of 130 million dirhams. This collaboration underscores Immorente’s ability to support renowned businesses in scaling their operations.

The second initiative is a 50 million dirham investment in the construction of a 5,000-square-meter facility for Skylla, a medical device manufacturer. Set under a 10-year fixed lease agreement, the project demonstrates Immorente’s commitment to catering to the tailored needs of its partners.

Immorente has consistently reinforced its industrial portfolio. In October 2023, the company invested 110 million dirhams to acquire a factory operated by SFC Solutions Morocco in Tanger Automotive City.

In parallel, the company is reshaping its asset mix by divesting from less strategic holdings. It recently sold a Bouskoura office property leased to Butec for 62.4 million dirhams, aligning with its shift towards industrial assets.

Immorente’s evolving portfolio reflects a decisive pivot towards industrial assets, which are seen as more lucrative. By 2025, industrial holdings are expected to account for 58% of the company’s portfolio, up from 43%, signaling a clear move away from office spaces.
