Industrial producer prices saw a slight dip in June, according to the latest figures released by the High Commission for Planning. The report shows a 0.1% decline in manufacturing prices—excluding petroleum refining—compared to May. This modest drop is largely attributed to falling prices in the food industry, which slipped by 0.4%, and in the machinery and equipment sector, down 0.8%.

Despite this overall decline, some manufacturing segments posted gains. The apparel industry experienced a 0.9% increase in prices, while the metallurgy sector rose slightly by 0.2%. Other sectors, including beverage production, chemicals, furniture, and automotive manufacturing, showed no change from the previous month.

Similarly, prices remained flat across several other industries, such as textiles, leather goods, paper, plastics, and information technology products. The pharmaceutical sector also held steady, with its price index unchanged at 99.1. No variation was recorded in the production of rubber goods, electrical equipment, or transportation materials.

Outside the manufacturing sphere, prices in extractive industries, as well as in electricity and water sectors, remained stable. Activities like oil and gas extraction, metal mining, and other mining operations showed no movement, mirroring the steady levels seen in energy and water production and distribution.

These figures are based on a 2018 reference index set at 100. Overall, the data for June 2025 reflect a broadly stable industrial pricing environment, with only minor shifts in a handful of sectors.
