Ineco secures contract to extend high-speed rail line to Marrakech

The Spanish engineering consultancy, Ineco, has been selected by the Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF) to assist in the extension of the High-Speed Rail Line (LGV) to Marrakech, as reported by Atalayar.

Following multiple delays, ONCF awarded this critical project to Ineco, which outperformed its competitor, Egis Rail. This contract involves providing project management assistance for the LGV infrastructure projects between Kenitra and Marrakech.

According to the same source, Ineco’s bid was the most competitive, at 1.309 billion dirhams, while Egis Rail’s bid came in at 1.385 billion dirhams.

The infrastructure project involves extending the LGV line from Kenitra to Marrakech. Ineco will advise ONCF on the infrastructure projects for this segment, which will operate at speeds of up to 320 km/h over a length of 450 km.
