Ivorian Defense Minister Received by Minister for National Defense Administration and Lieutenant General, Inspector General of FAR

Minister of State, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Tene Birahima Ouattara, was received, Friday in Rabat, respectively by Minister delegate to the head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration and the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), on High Royal Instructions.

A statement by the General Staff of FAR said that pursuant to the High Royal Instructions, Abdeltif Loudyi, Minister delegate to the head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration received, Friday at the headquarters of this Administration, Minister of State, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Tene Birahima Ouattara, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from July 14 to 17.

During this meeting, the two parties reviewed various issues in the military field to promote relations between Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire and consolidate the ties of friendship and military cooperation between the two countries.

The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the level reached by bilateral cooperation relations in the military field, particularly through the various actions of training and exchange of experience and expertise, said the same source.

The Ivorian Minister of State welcomed the relevance of the multidimensional strategy under the leadership of His Majesty the King to address the security challenges of the region prioritizing south-south cooperation and the launch of regional integration projects and the progressive construction of health security of our continent, the statement said.

On the same day, and on the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Lieutenant General, Inspector General of FAR, received Ouattara, accompanied by a delegation, at FAR General Staff.

The talks focused on the assessment of bilateral military cooperation. A cooperation that includes the exchange of information visits and participation in various training sessions and courses, concluded the statement.
