Jameel Motors is gearing up to expand its footprint in Morocco with the launch of a brand-new range of commercial vehicles. The company has secured exclusive distribution rights for Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), a major Chinese manufacturer known for its lineup of light-duty utility vehicles.
The agreement, finalized after a competitive selection process involving both Moroccan and international players, marks JMC’s official entry into the Moroccan market. For Jameel Motors—present in the country for over 30 years—this partnership represents a strategic extension into the commercial segment, reinforcing its presence in a fast-growing sector.
Starting in spring 2026, Moroccan consumers and businesses will have access to JMC’s full lineup, which includes pickups, vans, light trucks, and cargo vehicles. Leveraging its established network and local expertise, Jameel Motors plans to offer tailored mobility solutions designed to meet the specific needs of professionals, from small businesses to large fleets. The timing is ideal—by the end of September 2025, new vehicle sales in Morocco had already surged by more than 35% year-over-year.
Hasan Al-Alami, Jameel Motors’ Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa, sees this partnership as a meeting of strengths: JMC’s robust industrial know-how combined with Jameel’s deep understanding of the Moroccan market. He expressed confidence in the potential for long-term growth and emphasized the role this venture will play in energizing the local automotive industry.
JMC shares the same optimism. Hu Yong, the company’s Managing Director for the MEA region, hailed the deal as a major milestone in JMC’s global expansion. He underscored the reliability of the brand’s vehicles and Jameel Motors’ distribution expertise as key factors in delivering value to Moroccan customers.
Founded in 1947, JMC ranks among China’s top manufacturers of light commercial vehicles. It is also unique in having forged strategic partnerships with global giants like Ford and Isuzu. Today, JMC operates in over 110 countries and continues to grow—its pickup sales alone rose by more than 33% in 2024.
As for Jameel Motors, the company already distributes several major global automotive brands across more than ten countries. With this new alliance, it adds another major player to its portfolio and continues to expand its international reach.
