A new nonstop flight now connects Warsaw and Marrakech, launched this Wednesday by Poland’s national carrier LOT. Operating twice a week—on Wednesdays and Saturdays—the service uses a Boeing 737 MAX 8, linking Warsaw Chopin Airport with Marrakech Menara Airport.

This direct route marks a significant step in boosting tourism between Poland and Morocco. According to Laila Boulejiouch, a representative of the Moroccan Embassy in Warsaw, the flight isn’t just about convenience—it’s a strategic move to strengthen bilateral ties. She described it as a key tool for deepening collaboration between the two nations, particularly in the tourism sector.

The route is the outcome of months of planning between LOT Polish Airlines and Morocco’s National Tourism Office. It’s part of a broader initiative aimed at developing the Polish travel market, where interest in Morocco has been steadily growing. Aziz Mnii, the Moroccan tourism representative in Warsaw, emphasized that the new connection reflects rising demand from Polish travelers and is intended to build on that momentum.

In 2024, nearly 136,000 Polish tourists visited Morocco, and this new route is expected to accelerate that trend. Officials believe it will not only encourage more travel to the kingdom but also strengthen Marrakech’s appeal across Eastern Europe.
