South Korean beauty brand Makeheal is preparing to enter Morocco as three Korean companies team up on distribution and sales.Three South Korean cosmetics companies are preparing to bring Makeheal beauty products to Morocco. NS Home Shopping, BioSen Global and TSS Planet signed an agreement in Seoulx to sell and distribute the brand in Morocco and Mongolia. The three companies will split the work. BioSen Global will prepare and manufacture the products for export. TSS Planet will build distribution networks and handle sales and marketing. NS Home Shopping will check product quality and monitor the products.
NS Home Shopping will also help with the regulatory process needed before the products can go on sale.
The deal was signed during a business event organised by the Korea Cosmetics Industry Institute. The event brought South Korean cosmetics companies together with buyers from other countries.
NS Home Shopping attended with five beauty companies. The group held 24 meetings with 13 buyers from seven countries.
The Morocco deal goes further than a simple meeting between a seller and a potential buyer. The companies have already agreed who will handle manufacturing, quality control, regulation, distribution and marketing.
The next steps include choosing which Makeheal products will be sold, getting the required approvals and finding local distribution partners.
The companies have not disclosed the value of the deal, expected export volumes or the date of the first shipments.
Makeheal sells makeup products including high-coverage foundations, contouring sticks and long-lasting lip products.
The expansion comes as South Korean cosmetics companies look for new markets in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
