Moroccan food producer Dari Couspate says its profits grew in 2025 even though its revenue dropped.

Total revenue reached 818.4 million dirhams, down from 858.9 million the year before. The company said it sold more products, but lower raw material prices meant it charged less per product.

Operating profit rose nearly 4% to 73.4 million dirhams thanks to tighter cost control and a return to more normal profit margins.

Net profit increased to 52.4 million dirhams from 43.7 million in 2024. The company said better cost management and business growth helped lift earnings. Its main company results also improved despite lower revenue.

Founded in 1995 and listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange since 2005, the group is Morocco’s leading maker and exporter of couscous and pasta. It runs production sites in Salé near Rabat and exports to more than 60 countries. Exports usually make up about a quarter to a third of its sales.

The drop in revenue is linked to falling global wheat prices after earlier volatility caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. When wheat becomes cheaper, the company often lowers prices to stay competitive. That means selling more products but earning less per bag.

Profit margins improved after energy and packaging costs surged in 2022 and 2023. The company said supply chain improvements and more efficient machinery helped cut costs.

International growth remains a priority. A factory in Belgium opened in 2022–2023 to supply Europe more easily and reduce shipping costs.

The company is also expanding its range beyond traditional semolina, including organic and whole-grain couscous, premium pasta and quicker-cooking products. Several items were voted Product of the Year 2025 in Morocco.
