Morocco launches centralized e-portal to revolutionize public services

Morocco is taking a major leap forward in its digital transformation. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, the Minister Delegate for Digital Transition, has announced the launch of a centralized electronic portal, set to go live on February 14. This groundbreaking initiative will bring together more than 600 online public services, streamlining administrative procedures for both citizens and businesses.

The platform aims to address longstanding frustrations with Morocco’s complex administrative processes. By providing quick and easy access to essential services from any digital device, the government seeks to simplify everyday formalities and enhance efficiency across sectors.

In her announcement, Minister Seghrouchni emphasized the structural importance of this development: “This portal is not just a technological upgrade. It represents a structural transformation designed to bring public services closer to users, while reinforcing transparency and efficiency.”

The new portal is designed to meet a wide variety of needs, offering:

  • 300 services tailored to the general public,
  • 200 services targeted at businesses,
  • 100 services for government administrations.

For everyday users, the platform will make accessing vital documents—such as birth certificates, driver’s licenses, and other official records—simpler than ever. Meanwhile, business owners will be able to handle tax filings, permits, and other administrative procedures without the need for in-person visits.

This project is part of a broader governmental vision to position Morocco as a regional leader in digital governance. By modernizing administrative infrastructure, the country hopes to enhance its competitiveness and foster greater innovation in both the public and private sectors. The e-portal is just the beginning of a long-term plan to integrate new technologies and expand digital services over time.

In addition, the government will roll out training and support programs to ensure users can easily adapt to the new system. These efforts are expected to not only enhance administrative efficiency but also reduce the digital divide and promote greater social inclusion.
