El Jadida is getting ready to bring back one of its most iconic events. From September 30 to October 5, 2025, the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center will host the 16th edition of the Horse Show, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This year’s theme, “Horse Welfare: A Common Thread Between Equestrian Practices,” puts a powerful spotlight on the well-being of horses as a unifying focus across the entire industry.

By choosing this theme, the organizers aim to place the care, treatment, and living conditions of horses at the very center of the conversation—not just for professionals, but for the general public as well. The ambition is clear: to reimagine the future of the equine sector with a balance of technical excellence, cultural tradition, and ethical responsibility.

Across six days of programming, visitors can expect a packed and diverse lineup. The schedule features two prestigious competitions: the King Mohammed VI Grand Prix in show jumping and the Tbourida Grand Prix, both of which will attract the country’s top riders. Also on the agenda are breed-specific competitions highlighting Barbs, Arab-Barbs, and Purebred Arabians. A standout addition this year is the international Purebred Arabian “A” Title Show—a globally recognized contest that will showcase the elegance and pedigree of these majestic animals.

But the event isn’t just about competition. A rich artistic program aims to thrill audiences of all ages, with three exclusive evening shows planned. Moroccan and international performance troupes will share the stage, and for the first time ever, the famed Szilvásvárad Stud from Hungary will perform in Africa. Italian horse trainer Bartolo Messina, acrobats Kevin Ferreira and Jérôme Sefer, and the dynamic father-son duo Christophe and Max Hasta Luego will all deliver high-level performances where precision and emotional connection take center stage.

Education and knowledge-sharing will also play a central role. A special space for children will offer fun, hands-on experiences and supervised learning activities. Meanwhile, conferences, networking events in collaboration with CGEM, and a dedicated professional area will bring together the entire equine value chain—from breeders and trainers to vets and entrepreneurs.

True to its mission, the show will also celebrate Morocco’s rich and diverse equestrian heritage. A regional pavilion will highlight traditional attire, artisanal saddlery, and local craftsmanship from across the Kingdom.

Since its launch in 2008 by the Horse Show Association, chaired by Charif Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, the event has grown into a driving force behind the development of Morocco’s equine sector. This 16th edition promises to be another landmark moment—an energetic fusion of passion, tradition, and forward-thinking vision.
