Morocco’s BLS acquires Hibat Transport, elevates end-to-end logistics offering

Buildings & Logistic Services, a subsidiary of H&S Invest Holding, has announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Hibat Transport SARL, a prominent Moroccan transport company. This strategic move follows approval from the Competition Council and strengthens the company’s presence as a key player in the logistics sector in Morocco.

With this acquisition, Buildings & Logistic Services (BLS) expands its capabilities as a Full Logistics Service Provider. The company now offers a comprehensive end-to-end service portfolio, encompassing freight forwarding, transit, 3PL logistics, and transport. Additionally, BLS specializes in warehousing solutions (pharmaceutical, temperature-controlled, and ambient), as well as product customization services like stickering, bundling, mixing, and re-packing.

Under the operational leadership of Anass Moutaoukila and real estate development overseen by Reda Quermane, BLS has been making waves in the logistics industry. The company was recently awarded the prestigious “Logistics Project of the Year 2024” prize at the 7th edition of the Moroccan Logistics Awards (MLA 2024), cementing its reputation for innovation and excellence.

Anass Moutaoukila expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating: “Acquiring Hibat is a crucial milestone in the growth of Buildings & Logistic Services. It allows us to reinforce our position as a leading Moroccan logistics provider offering fully integrated solutions. We now cover the entire logistics value chain, from freight forwarding and transit to 3PL logistics and warehousing, and now transport, to ensure our clients receive a seamless global service.”

Hibat, founded in 1986, has a strong presence in the Moroccan market, with a turnover of 30 million dirhams and 105 employees. The company operates a fleet of 90 vehicles, serving notable clients such as Marjane, Carrefour Aswak, Cosumar, and Paul. Following the acquisition, Nabil Touzani has been appointed as the new General Manager of Hibat.

The transaction was facilitated by Boughaleb & Associates for financial advisory and Hilmilaw Firm for legal counsel.
