New Damane Cash service makes legal digital signatures easier to access

People and businesses in Morocco can now obtain ng legally recognised digital signatures easier to access.

The move follows approval from Morocco’s Directorate General for Information Systems Security, allowing Eurafric Information, which operates under the AfricTrust brand, to appoint Damane Cash as a Delegated Registration Authority under Law 43.20 on trust services for electronic transactions.

Under the new service, customers can visit authorised Damane Cash branches to receive a qualified electronic certificate stored on a secure cryptographic USB token. The certificate allows users to sign administrative and contractual documents electronically with full legal validity under Moroccan law.

The service is available to individuals, professionals, businesses and public institutions. The two companies said it will make trusted digital services more accessible while providing the highest level of security recognised by Moroccan regulations.

AfricTrust, Morocco’s first licensed trust service provider under Law 43.20, brings its expertise in digital trust services to the partnership. Damane Cash contributes its nationwide branch network, helping bring the service closer to customers across the country.

The companies said the initiative aims to encourage wider use of secure electronic services and support the digital transformation of businesses, public administrations and citizens.

They added that the project also supports the goals of the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy by promoting digital transactions, strengthening trust in the digital economy and improving digital inclusion across the country.
