Two major players in West Africa have announced a strategic alliance that could redefine premium education in Guinea. Hayan & CO, a company known for its focus on top-tier academic institutions, has partnered with Guicopres SA, a leading force in construction and real estate across Guinea, to launch a brand-new school in the heart of Conakry. The first students are expected to walk through its doors in time for the 2027 academic year.
This ambitious venture draws direct inspiration from the Jacques Chirac School Group in Rabat, Morocco, whose first graduating class finished just this past June. Much like its Moroccan counterpart, the upcoming school in Conakry aims to deliver an elite education based on the French national curriculum. But beyond academic excellence, the vision includes a deep commitment to cultural and social diversity—key pillars in building a well-rounded, globally minded student body.
Designed to accommodate up to 1,200 students from preschool through high school, the institution plans to follow the French Ministry of Education’s official guidelines. The founders are also seeking accreditation from the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), ideally securing it by the time the school opens. Their educational philosophy rests on three major principles: academic discipline, cultural openness, and multilingual fluency—qualities increasingly valued by both local families and the international community.
The school will be built on a sprawling three-hectare site, combining cutting-edge architecture with thoughtful landscaping. Beyond classrooms, the campus will feature advanced sports facilities that are not just recreational but serve as integral parts of the students’ development. The goal is to balance academic success with physical well-being and social cohesion, reinforcing the idea that education goes far beyond textbooks.
This initiative is more than a business venture; it’s a statement of intent. By bringing their expertise together, Hayan & CO and Guicopres SA are aiming to elevate Conakry’s educational landscape and contribute to the broader transformation of Guinea’s school system. The project aligns with the country’s national priorities in education and symbolizes a growing trilateral cooperation between Guinea, Morocco, and France—nations united by a shared belief in progress through knowledge.
