Nostalgia Lovers Festival closes with bold new experience

The Nostalgia Lovers Festival is wrapping up its 2025 edition with a bold and unexpected twist. On July 6, Casablanca’s Velodrome will transform into a vibrant celebration zone for an eclectic, high-energy brunch that brings the festival’s signature retro spirit to life one last time. Dubbed “Olé Nostalgia,” this final event blends live music, Spanish flair, and nostalgic charm into an immersive experience unlike anything the Moroccan festival scene has seen before.

This isn’t just brunch—it’s a full-blown spectacle. Organizers have reimagined the venue as a lively Andalusian arena, drawing visual inspiration from the colorful fairs of Seville, with added touches of 1980s flair. Guests are encouraged to get into character, with a suggested dress code that mixes flamenco accents and vintage accessories, turning the crowd itself into part of the show.

The entertainment lineup reflects the same creative fusion. Latin jazz legend Tito Puente Jr will bring his signature rhythms to the stage, joining forces with Gipsy Five, a band known for giving flamenco a contemporary spin. Singer Susana Sanchez Jimenez will add her voice to the mix, while DJs take over later with iconic hits from the ’80s to keep the party pulsing. Beyond the music, attendees can expect an array of immersive experiences—from photo booths to roving performers and eye-catching visual surprises.

The culinary offering is just as ambitious. Designed by a top-tier caterer, the menu focuses on bold Spanish flavors, featuring everything from tortillas and vibrant salads to nostalgic desserts that channel childhood favorites. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available, and multiple drink stations will serve up cold refreshments and handcrafted cocktails throughout the event.

Unlike the rest of the festival, this unique brunch requires a separate ticket, priced at 900 dirhams per person. That includes access to the venue, all performances and activities, plus a 300-dirham credit redeemable at food and drink stands. Tickets are available exclusively through guichet.ma.

For festival founder Othman Benabdeljelil, “Olé Nostalgia” marks a turning point—an ambitious finale that redefines what a closing event can be. It’s more than just an ending; it’s a statement of creativity and community, and a glimpse of the festival’s evolving future.
