The number of candidates for the baccalaureate exams for the 2022 session has increased by 8%, revealed Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, on Thursday in Rabat.

The Moroccan minister assured, in a presentation he delivered during the Council of Government held under the chairmanship of Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, that all measures have been taken to make sure national examinations take place in transparency, integrity and equal opportunity.

These measures concern spaces dedicated to printing and photocopying, in addition to the exam sheets transfer from distribution centers to examination centers. They also concern the correction and grading processes, said Government Spokesman Mustapha Baitas during a press briefing after the Council.

To this end, 1,520 centers have been made available for all exams’ needs, in addition to the process of correction, said Benmoussa, noting that cells have been created on the central and regional levels to monitor these various stages.

The minister further noted that candidates have been provided with a set of documents via their email addresses to better support their preparation, stressing that academic support sessions, topics’ adequacy and examination conditions have been enhanced for candidates in special situations.
