A new project called Mental Health First (MH First) will launch in Morocco next week with two conferences in Rabat and Casablanca.
The events will run from 9am to 1pm. The first takes place on 8 April at Université Mohammed V. The second follows on 9 April at ESCA École de Management. Each session will include talks, workshops and networking.
Organisers say the goal is simple. Treat mental health as something that affects how organisations perform, not just as a medical issue.
The project was created by Boussa El Ouafi and Gaëtan Hanen. It brings together Belgian groups Seen-Apps, Human Orga, WingedProw Advisory and Moroccan partner SNM Consulting.
The idea grew out of discussions during Morocco Now 2025 in Belgium.
The initiative promotes using digital tools to spot stress and burnout early. One tool, Bolby, tracks workplace wellbeing. Early use in Belgium showed a 24% drop in absenteeism costs after 18 months.
A new study will also be presented with the IRFC of Rabat, the IMS in Kénitra and the FUS Volley-Ball team. It looks at how neuroscience can help workplaces and sports teams perform better.
Attendees can choose one of three workshop tracks. One focuses on healthcare and prevention. Another looks at mental balance in sport. The third helps companies link staff wellbeing with productivity.
