Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has once again claimed the prestigious title of “Best Airline in Africa” at the 21st edition of the GT Tested Reader Survey Awards, hosted by the renowned U.S. publication Global Traveler.
This accolade, awarded for the second year in a row, highlights the airline’s relentless commitment to enhancing customer experience and advancing the connectivity of Africa on the global stage, RAM stated in a press release.
Abdelhamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc, expressed his pride in achieving this recognition for the second consecutive year, describing it as a testament to the company’s ongoing efforts to improve. “Our customers are at the heart of our priorities, and I thank them for their trust and loyalty. They remain the central pillar of our development strategy,” he said.
Addou emphasized that RAM has implemented numerous initiatives to deliver an ever-evolving, superior travel experience. “This quest for excellence drives our colleagues both on the ground and in the air, and I warmly thank them for their dedication. We will continue this momentum to solidify our position as the leader in African air travel while promoting the global reach of our country and continent.”
The GT Tested Reader Survey is a benchmark in the travel industry, gathering votes from over 20,000 participants to recognize top performers in luxury tourism and travel services. Spanning more than 80 categories, the survey celebrates the best in class worldwide.
Royal Air Maroc’s membership in the Oneworld alliance since April 2020 also contributed to this achievement. At the same awards, Oneworld was named “Best Airline Alliance” for the 15th consecutive year, cementing its status as a global leader in connectivity. The alliance unites 13 top-tier airlines and offers a network of over 900 destinations, making it one of the three largest airline alliances globally.
Royal Air Maroc’s back-to-back triumph underscores the rising prominence of African aviation on the international stage. With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the airline continues to shine as a beacon of excellence for both Morocco and the continent.
