With summer travel just around the corner, Royal Air Maroc is rolling out its most ambitious flight schedule to date. The airline is offering over 6.6 million seats across 95 destinations—an increase of 700,000 compared to last summer. This major expansion targets not only the large influx of Moroccans living abroad expected to return for the holidays, but also international travelers and African diasporas.
New routes this season include long-haul flights to São Paulo, Beijing, Toronto, and the Sicilian city of Catania, as well as a new domestic connection between Rabat and Dakhla, further strengthening the airline’s reach. In the United Kingdom, Royal Air Maroc is expanding its footprint by adding London-Stansted to its roster, joining its existing Heathrow and Gatwick services. It also recently launched a Casablanca–Manchester route.
Across Africa, the airline is boosting frequencies, particularly to Nouakchott, which will now see nine flights a week. Dakar service doubles to two flights per day. Routes to European cities like Malaga, Valencia, Lisbon, and Porto will be operated using a mix of Boeing 737s and Embraer 190s, selected for their speed and onboard comfort.
To support the expanded schedule, Royal Air Maroc is adding eight new aircraft to its fleet—two long-haul Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and six Boeing 737-8 MAX for medium-haul routes. As a result, the airline will rely less on leased aircraft this year, limiting rentals to just four planes: one long-haul aircraft based in Casablanca and three medium-haul jets operating out of Tangier, Nador, and Oujda.
To improve transit efficiency, Royal Air Maroc is also reorganizing its Casablanca hub with new time slots. Flights to Europe will now mainly depart overnight, while African destinations will be served during the day. This scheduling shift includes major routes to cities like Paris, Brussels, London, Dakar, Abidjan, and Conakry.
This wide-ranging initiative is part of a broader modernization plan aimed at turning Morocco into a major air travel hub. CEO Hamid Addou emphasized that the airline’s teams are committed to delivering a smooth and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers.
Tickets are available through the usual channels, including the airline’s website, call centers, official agencies, and travel partners.
