Thunderstorms and strong wind gusts are expected to sweep across several parts of Morocco this Monday afternoon, according to the national meteorological authority.
Rainfall totals could range between 15 and 25 millimeters, with weather warnings in effect from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The affected areas include Midelt, Khénifra, Ifrane, Beni Mellal, Taourirt, Jerada, Taza, and Guercif. An orange-level alert has been issued, indicating potentially hazardous conditions, particularly due to high winds accompanying the storms.
Authorities are urging residents in these regions to exercise caution, especially in areas prone to flash flooding or landslides, where the impact of heavy rainfall and strong gusts can escalate quickly.
