On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Saint-Gobain Weber officially opened its new factory within the integrated industrial park of Agadir, located in the Drarga municipality. The project was supported by the Souss Massa Regional Investment Center and brought together key regional figures, including the regional governor, the president of the regional council, the director of the investment center, the French consul general in Agadir, and several local business leaders.
The new facility is dedicated to producing industrial mortar solutions and aligns with the region’s broader industrial development strategy under the Industrial Acceleration Plan. The plant is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of the high-value construction materials sector, providing a boost to the local economy and industry.
In addition to manufacturing, the site will host the Weber Academy, which will offer technical training programs for professionals in the field. More than 2,000 individuals are expected to benefit from these training sessions each year, significantly enhancing the skill set of the local workforce and supporting the region’s long-term industrial growth.
