An approximate budget of 153 million dirhams (MDH) has been allocated for the implementation of the monobloc seawater desalination station program in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region.
The program entails the establishment of nine monobloc seawater desalination stations, with three stations in Al Hoceima, two in Tanger-Assilah, two in Tétouan, and one each in Chefchaouen and Fahs-Anjra.
Additionally, it includes connecting two existing monobloc seawater desalination stations in the Chefchaouen province to the potable water and electricity distribution networks.
This project stems from a specific partnership agreement between the Ministry of the Interior, the Regional Prefecture, and several other partners, recently approved by the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima Regional Council during its regular session.
Overall, the project involves the establishment of monobloc stations, as well as surveying, drilling, and equipping boreholes, along with connecting the new monobloc stations to the electrical and potable water networks.
