The 2025 Audi A5 arrives in Morocco with hybrid tech and bold styling

Three decades after introducing the A4 and nearly twenty years since the debut of the first A5 designed by Walter De Silva, Audi has returned with a bold new generation of the A5. This latest iteration is a refined blend of sharp design, cutting-edge technology, and performance-driven efficiency.

With its reworked proportions, sculpted profile, and a completely redesigned cabin, the new A5 clearly signals its evolution. Built on the updated MHEV+ platform, it features mild hybrid technology that supports partial electrification, helping to cut fuel consumption without sacrificing driving dynamics.

At the heart of the new A5 is a 2.0-liter TDI engine delivering 204 horsepower, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup allows for low-speed electric-only driving—especially useful in urban environments. It also recovers up to 25 kW of energy during braking, and the hybrid system adds an extra 24 horsepower to assist the combustion engine when needed. Audi claims an average fuel consumption of just 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers.

In terms of size, the A5 has grown. Now stretching to 4.83 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2.90 meters, the vehicle commands more road presence. The front end features a wider Singleframe grille and slimmer headlights, while the rear is marked by a sleek light strip that spans the width of the car. Flush-mounted door handles, a coupe-inspired roofline, and newly designed wheels round out the more assertive exterior.

Step inside, and the transformation is even more apparent. The cabin centers around a 14.5-inch curved infotainment display, complemented by an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. A third screen for the front passenger is available as an optional extra. Audi has paid particular attention to materials and ambience, incorporating warm, tactile textiles like Softwrap, ambient lighting, and a variety of trim finishes to create a space that’s both inviting and ergonomic.

Standard features include GPS navigation, a power-operated tailgate, and wireless phone charging. Options elevate the experience further with a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, a panoramic glass roof with adjustable opacity, and memory settings for the electrically adjustable steering column. The Matrix LED headlights not only improve visibility but also allow drivers to personalize their lighting signature via the central display.

On the road, the new A5 benefits from a lighter chassis, standard progressive steering, and adaptive suspension with multiple settings based on the version chosen. A reinforced front axle enhances stability, even at speeds up to 242 km/h. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, delivering brisk, confident performance.

Safety and convenience are also prioritized. Every A5 comes equipped with a rearview camera, cruise control, lane departure warning, and a driver attention alert. Optional upgrades include a customizable head-up display, which lets drivers access essential information without taking their eyes off the road.

The new Audi A5 is now available at Audi dealerships across Morocco, with prices starting at 580,000 dirhams.
