The new BMW X3 debuts in Morocco: A blend of luxury and sustainability

The fourth generation of the BMW X3 has officially arrived in Morocco, marking a new chapter for this iconic model. Since its initial launch in 2003, the BMW X3 has become a benchmark in the Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment, offering a perfect blend of sportiness, daily comfort, and long-distance excellence. With more than 1.9 million units of its third generation sold globally since 2017, the X3 continues to cement its legacy as a worldwide bestseller.

The latest iteration takes the X3 to new heights, introducing a modern, monolithic design language with clean lines, generous surfaces, and precise contours. Slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, it boasts a dynamic silhouette, enhanced by new LED headlights and a vertical kidney grille, creating a look that’s both athletic and sophisticated.

A new standard in interior luxury

Inside, the new BMW X3 redefines luxury. The cabin offers a seamless fusion of cutting-edge technology, high-quality materials, and a modern design ethos. A standout feature is the BMW Curved Display, paired with the Interaction Bar and BMW’s latest Operating System 9 with QuickSelect. These innovations provide an intuitive digital experience, ensuring ease of use for drivers and passengers alike.

Comfort is paramount, with electrically adjustable sport seats upholstered in eco-friendly Veganza leather as standard, while Merino leather from BMW Individual is available as an option. For the first time, the dashboard is covered in Econeer fabric, crafted from recycled polyester, reflecting BMW’s commitment to sustainability.

The cabin’s ambiance is further enhanced by customizable lighting with 15 color options, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium Harman Kardon Surround Sound system featuring 15 speakers and 750 watts of power. With a spacious 570-liter trunk, expandable to 1,700 liters, the X3 is as practical as it is luxurious.

Enhanced driving dynamics

The fourth-generation BMW X3 delivers an even more refined driving experience, blending agility and comfort like never before. Its lightweight yet rigid body structure, wider rear axle, and redesigned suspension system ensure exceptional stability and handling. Advanced features like adaptive suspension and variable sport steering, available on select models, allow drivers to switch effortlessly between comfort and dynamic driving modes.

For those seeking peak performance, the X3 M50 xDrive is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six M TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 398 horsepower. With the addition of a 48V mild-hybrid system, this version sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

Sustainability and hybrid advancements

The new X3 lineup includes the plug-in hybrid 30e xDrive, combining a 2.0-liter petrol engine with an integrated electric motor for a combined output of 299 horsepower. The model offers an electric-only range of up to 90 kilometers (WLTP) thanks to its 22.1 kWh battery, which can be charged in just over two hours using a 11 kW AC charger.

BMW’s commitment to sustainability extends to its production processes. The X3 is built at the Spartanburg plant in the United States, where eco-friendly practices and recycled materials are prioritized to minimize environmental impact.

Advanced safety and driver assistance

The latest X3 features state-of-the-art driver assistance systems, such as the standard Driving Assistant, which includes lane departure warnings, blind spot detection, and collision prevention. Optional packages like Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Professional provide semi-autonomous driving capabilities and fully automated parking with smartphone control.
