
Otmane Lazrak is the new general manager of Biscuiterie Moderne Zine (BMZ). He takes over after two years as the company’s marketing director. His new role covers the strategic and day-to-day management of BMZ, which is part of Zine Capital Invest. Lazrak has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. He previously worked as marketing manager at inwi and held regional marketing and communications roles at Schneider Electric and SAS.
He has a master’s degree in communication management from École Polytechnique and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from ENCG-Settat.
BMZ is based in Had Soualem and makes biscuits, wafers, cakes and corn-based snacks. Its production lines can produce up to 40,000 cases a day.
The company’s main brand, Tobigo, has more than 50 products for children, teenagers and adults. Other brands include Deriko, Kidzo and Alitkane.
BMZ has also strengthened its food safety and product tracking systems. The company works with FSSC 22000 standards and ONSSA requirements and uses SAP to track products across its supply chain.
In April 2026, BMZ’s Master Cookies Original and Caramel products received the “Saveur de l’Année Maroc 2026” award after blind taste tests by consumers.
