U.S. recession fears hit global markets: Casablanca and Europe suffer sharp declines

Concerns over a potential U.S. recession have caused a substantial decline in European financial markets on Monday, August 5, impacting the Casablanca Stock Exchange as well. Both the Masi and Masi 20 indices dropped by 2.85%, bringing their annual performances down to 12.48% and 11.39% respectively.

This market downturn also affected major European stock exchanges: Paris (-1.42%), London (-2.04%), Frankfurt (-1.82%), and Milan (-2.27%). The pan-European Stoxx 600 index saw a significant decrease of 2.17%.
