The Office National des Aéroports (ONDA) has announced the appointment of new directors for the airports of Al Hoceima, Tétouan, and Laayoune. These changes mark a strategic move for ONDA and Morocco as the country’s airports prepare for major challenges leading up to 2030.

In a recent statement, ONDA highlighted the importance of these three airports, noting their growing passenger traffic and strategic significance. Adel El Fakir, the Director General of ONDA, presided over the appointment ceremonies for the new directors of Al Hoceima Chérif Al Idrissi, Tétouan Saniat R’mel, and Laayoune Hassan 1st airports, all of which play a key role in regional development.

The new directors, along with airport managers across the country, are tasked with driving growth, improving the customer experience, and collaborating closely with local authorities to enhance the quality of services. They will be instrumental in ensuring that these airports continue to grow and contribute to the economic development of their respective regions.

ONDA is also leading efforts to modernize Morocco’s airport infrastructure, with several large-scale projects planned to increase capacity and enhance passenger comfort. These initiatives aim to create a modern, efficient airport network that aligns with the country’s ambitious goals for 2030.

“ONDA is entering a new era of transformation and modernization, positioning itself to meet the significant challenges ahead for the Kingdom of Morocco,” the statement concluded.
