SOGELEASE MAROC to announce name change

SOGELEASE MAROC is on the verge of a major transition. On June 23, the company’s shareholders will gather at its Casablanca headquarters for a pivotal General Meeting, where a key item on the agenda is the company’s name change—a move signaling a significant shift in its corporate identity.

While the new name remains under wraps for now, it will be formally announced during the session. The change isn’t just cosmetic; it will come with a broader update to the company’s legal framework, including modifications to reflect the rebranding of its offshore branch in Tangier, currently operating under the name SOGELEASE OFFSHORE.

This renaming effort is part of a wider legal transformation aimed at modernizing the company’s governance. The meeting will also address a full overhaul of the company’s statutes to bring them in line with the latest corporate legislation in Morocco. Notably, the company’s core elements—its capital, headquarters, and business purpose—will remain unchanged.

Alongside these structural changes, the agenda includes routine annual resolutions such as the approval of the 2024 financial statements, profit allocation, and a dividend distribution set at 10 dirhams per share. SOGELEASE MAROC posted a net profit of over 26 million dirhams. A partial reallocation of reserves is also planned, involving adjustments between the legal reserve and other reserve accounts.

Additionally, shareholders will vote on several agreements made with SGMA, particularly those related to IT infrastructure. The meeting will also address the reclassification of certain internal agreements as “free agreements,” clarifying their legal status.

This General Meeting marks a turning point for SOGELEASE MAROC—a moment of strategic reflection that balances continuity with a renewed corporate vision.
