Heavy thunderstorms are expected to sweep across several provinces in Morocco this Wednesday, bringing steady rainfall and potentially hazardous weather conditions. According to an alert issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the storms could produce rainfall accumulations ranging from 20 to 30 millimeters between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The regions most likely to be affected include Midelt, Marrakech, Azilal, Al Haouz, Taroudant, Béni Mellal, Rehamna, and Chichaoua. Along with the rain, strong wind gusts may accompany the storms, adding to the risk.
Authorities have issued an orange-level weather alert, signaling that the expected conditions could pose dangers to residents in the affected areas. The warning urges people to remain cautious, especially in zones prone to flooding or where travel could become difficult due to severe weather.
