The new Opel Frontera arrives with hybrid and electric options

Opel is stepping up its game in Morocco with the launch of the all-new Frontera, a stylish, family-friendly SUV available as either a hybrid or fully electric model. With a starting price of 249,000 dirhams, Opel is betting on a winning combination: spacious interiors, a solid equipment package, and pricing that aims to stay within reach of a broad customer base.

Visually, the Frontera makes a bold impression. Its robust profile is defined by sharp lines, flared wheel arches, and a distinctive C-pillar design that gives the SUV a strong, confident stance. At the front, Opel’s signature black Vizor grille and updated emblem add a modern edge. Inside, the cabin is all about simplicity and function, with clean design cues and smart storage solutions. Two 10-inch digital displays dominate the dashboard, while Intelli-Seat ergonomic front seats aim to deliver comfort even on long drives. Practical touches like multiple storage compartments and a full connectivity suite round out the interior experience.

The Frontera also scores high on versatility. It offers up to 1,600 liters of cargo space, with a seven-seat version expected soon. Features such as roof rails, a two-level cargo floor, and built-in tablet storage help make it a flexible choice for families or anyone who needs more adaptability on the road.

Under the hood, buyers can choose between two distinct powertrains. The hybrid version pairs a 136-horsepower gasoline engine with a 28-horsepower electric motor, operating on a 48-volt system and paired with a dual-clutch transmission. The setup is designed to strike a balance between efficiency and dynamic driving, cutting fuel use and emissions without compromising performance. For those looking to go fully electric, the Frontera EV delivers 113 horsepower and a 44 kWh battery, good for up to 305 kilometers of range on a full charge.

Customers can choose between two trims—Edition and GS—both of which come generously equipped. Standard features include Intelli-LED headlights, a fully digital cockpit, a rearview camera, and depending on the version, extras like automatic climate control, blind spot monitoring, parking assistance, alloy wheels, and two-tone paint options.
