A night for Warda: Marrakech honors an icon of Arab music

After paying tribute to the timeless voices of Abdel Halim Hafez and Umm Kulthum, Meydene Productions is once again turning the spotlight on another iconic figure from the golden age of Arabic music. On October 11, the city of Marrakech will host an evening dedicated to Warda Al-Jazairia, the legendary diva whose voice defined an era when music was all about raw emotion, deep soul, and vocal brilliance.

The tribute concert, held at Théâtre Meydene, will feature the evocative voice of Najat Rajoui, guided by the refined musical direction of maestro Hicham Talmoudi. But this won’t be a mere recital of Warda’s greatest hits. Instead, the evening aims to channel her spirit, reimagining her music with grace and restraint, allowing every note and memory to resonate fully with the audience. The performance space will transform into a living memorial—intimate, powerful, and timeless.

This event continues the artistic vision of Meydene Productions, which has made a name for itself by reviving the greatest voices of the Arab world and presenting them to new audiences in a modern context. Based in Marrakech, the company has already produced 39 shows and drawn nearly 15,000 attendees. Its influence is steadily growing beyond the city, now reaching cultural hubs like Casablanca and Rabat.

Tickets are currently on sale through Guichet.ma and Meydene Mapado. Prices start at 250 dirhams, with two seating categories available: “Carré Confort” for 250 dirhams and “Carré Or” at 350 dirhams.
