Orange Maroc launches first AI platform tailored for local businesses

Orange Maroc has taken a major step forward in artificial intelligence with the launch of “Live Intelligence,” a new generative AI platform developed in partnership with Orange Business. This marks the first time a telecom operator in Morocco has introduced a solution of this kind, aimed specifically at meeting the evolving needs of local businesses and public institutions.

Unveiled in Rabat during an official event attended by Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the platform aligns with the goals set out in the Morocco Digital 2030 roadmap. It also reflects King Mohammed VI’s broader vision to accelerate the country’s digital transformation.

Developed by Orange Business’s Data & AI Competence Center based in Rabat, Live Intelligence offers users access to the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. Backed by a team of 120 engineers and experts split between Rabat and Casablanca, the platform is designed to be ready-to-use, highly secure, and adaptable to the specific needs of various industries and organizations—regardless of size.

As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, Live Intelligence is built with ease of use in mind. It integrates seamlessly with existing tools while maintaining strict confidentiality for each client’s customized models. Its architecture is powered by multiple large language models (LLMs), combining top-tier AI engines to ensure more reliable and versatile performance.

The platform is engineered to promote safe and controlled internal use of AI. It enables teams to build and share automated assistants tailored to their workflows—reducing dependence on unauthorized third-party tools, a risky trend known as “Shadow AI,” which has been linked to potential data breaches.

But Orange Maroc is offering more than just a technical solution. The company has developed three levels of integration, designed to match each organization’s digital maturity. This approach aims to facilitate real-world implementation of AI with tangible benefits, particularly in data management and operational efficiency.

This launch represents another milestone in Orange Maroc’s long-standing commitment to Morocco’s digital ecosystem. For over 25 years, the operator has been involved in the country’s technological evolution—from mobile networks and fiber optics to data centers and cloud services. Now, Orange Maroc is positioning itself as a key driver of enterprise modernization, backed by a global network of technology partners.

The Rabat center leading this initiative employs more than 1,100 professionals, including 500 engineers specializing in data, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Connected to Orange Business’s international teams, the center allows Moroccan companies to tap into cutting-edge innovation while staying grounded in the local context.

For Hendrik Kasteel, CEO of Orange Maroc, Live Intelligence reflects a clear mission: to make artificial intelligence accessible to all Moroccan businesses and establish the country as a leading digital force across the African continent.
