Swiss firm Cavotec to equip Moroccan phosphate industry with high-tech systems

Swiss engineering firm Cavotec has been selected to supply specialized equipment to a Moroccan company involved in the processing of phosphate and sulfur—two of the country’s most strategically important minerals. The order was placed by Takraf India, acting on behalf of one of Morocco’s leading players in the phosphate and sulfur industry.

Under the agreement, Cavotec will deliver a total of thirteen industrial systems: seven motorized cable reels and six hose reels. These components are designed to ensure safe and reliable delivery of power and fluids to bulk handling systems operating in demanding industrial environments.

The contract was finalized in December 2025, with delivery scheduled for mid-2026. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Cavotec specializes in providing advanced power and fluid connection systems for key sectors such as ports, airports, mining, and heavy industry. The company is known for developing high-performance technologies including automated mooring systems, energy distribution solutions, and fluid management systems tailored to complex and high-load environments.

This latest project reinforces Cavotec’s presence in North Africa and underscores Morocco’s continued investment in upgrading its industrial infrastructure, particularly in sectors tied to its global leadership in phosphate production.
