Tesla has officially launched its operations in Morocco, marking its first commercial foothold on the African continent. This strategic move is part of the company’s broader global expansion plan, spearheaded by CEO Elon Musk, and builds on Tesla’s earlier groundwork in the country, including the rollout of a partially active charging network.
Starting February 6, 2026, Moroccan customers will be able to access a dedicated online configurator through Tesla’s official website, allowing them to customize and order vehicles directly. Alongside this digital rollout, Tesla will open its first physical presence in the country with a pop-up store located in Casablanca’s AnfaPlace Mall. The space will showcase the brand’s flagship electric vehicles, including the globally popular Model 3 and Model Y.
While this marks Tesla’s first direct commercial venture in Morocco, the company has already laid down significant infrastructure. It currently operates 24 Supercharger stations across key cities like Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Fes, Agadir, and Tangier. These fast-charging stations, available 24/7, are set to expand further in line with growing demand for electric mobility in the country.
In keeping with its signature business model, Tesla will forgo traditional dealerships, instead offering a streamlined, digital-first customer experience with centralized services. The company’s entry into Morocco reflects the country’s rising appeal to major global players in the fields of sustainable energy and electric transportation.
