The famous Monaco steak restaurant Beefbar is coming to Hôtel Barrière Le Naoura in Marrakech in April 2026, its first location in Morocco.
Founded in 2005 by Riccardo Giraudi, whose family has been in the European meat business since 1968, Beefbar started as a Monaco showroom for premium meats, including Japanese Kobe beef. The brand now has over 40 restaurants worldwide, and its Hong Kong branch won a Michelin star in 2016.
The Marrakech restaurant will be led by Chef Hamza Afquir and will use Beefbar’s signature high-heat grilling style. The menu will include Japanese Kobe tataki, Wagyu Tajima A5, Creekstone Black Angus, Australian Wagyu WX, along with local Moroccan meats. Desserts will feature the cocoa and sesame soufflé and the Marbled Chocolate Bar.
The restaurant’s design, by Cédric Capron, mixes the hotel’s traditional Moroccan style with a modern, minimalist look, using burgundy ceramics, sculpted wood, and soft lighting to create a relaxed, stylish atmosphere.
