Attijariwafa bank has received two awards at the 2026 Best Investment Banks and Sustainable Finance Awards organised by Global Finance magazine. The bank was named Best Investment Bank in Morocco 2026 and Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in Morocco 2026.

The awards highlight its work in investment banking and sustainable finance across Morocco. The bank says the recognition reflects its position in the local financial market and its role in funding economic activity.

Attijariwafa bank is also increasing its focus on green finance. It is accredited by the Green Climate Fund and has helped finance renewable energy projects as well as efforts by companies to reduce emissions.

The recognition comes as Morocco continues to develop major infrastructure projects. The bank’s investment division has been active in capital market deals and has seen growth in corporate lending.

The group has also been expanding its environmental and social finance work. In 2025, it reduced its carbon emissions by more than 7% and grew its financial inclusion programme through Dar Al Moukawil centres, which have supported over one million small businesses.

Market expectations point to continued growth in 2026, with net income forecast at around 4.1 billion dirhams. The outlook is supported by efficiency gains and wider expansion across Africa.
